The Telegraph invites all aspiring travel writers to submit a story to The 2026 Telegraph Travel Writing Competition for the chance to win a holiday to Crete or Sri Lanka.
The theme is about authentic interactions; personal stories of connections made during travels, such as moments of kindness, friendships or memorable encounters.
Stories should be 500-800 words, from unpublished authors who are residents of the UK. Deadline for submissions is midnight on May 17.
